Australian patent supports sovereign capabilities

Melbourne, Australia, 31 January, 2018: The Board of Australian metal additive manufacturing company, Titomic Limited (ASX: TTT) (“Titomic” or “Company”) today announced the granting of the Australian patent for the application of cold-gas dynamic spraying of titanium or titanium alloy particles onto a scaffold to produce a load-bearing structure, better known as Titomic Kinetic Fusion.

Titomic Kinetic Fusion is the unique cold-spray 3D printing process developed by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO). Titomic has the exclusive rights to commercialise the CSIRO’s proprietary and patented process.

Applications for the Company’s Titomic Kinetic Fusion process include the global and mass market industries of aerospace and defence, consumer & sporting goods, oil & gas, mining, marine, medical, automotive, construction and industrial equipment.

Titomic CEO Mr Jeff Lang commented:

“The granting of the Australian patent will allow further application of theTitomic Kinetic Fusion technology to enable sovereign industrial capabilities for future opportunities to export Australian design ingenuity.”

Titomic has now secured patents for the Titomic Kinetic Fusion technology in the United States, China, Japan, New Zealand, and has patents pending approval in Hong Kong, South Korea and Europe.
