Titomic USA, Inc. Signs Multi-Year CRADA with the U.S. Military Research Organization for Advanced Applications of Cold Spray Manufacturing, Materials Development, and Defense Sustainment
HUNTSVILLE, AL – Titomic USA, Inc. is pleased to announce the signing of a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (“CRADA”) with the U.S. Military research organization to establish a multi-year framework for collaborative research activities supporting next generation defense modernization, sustainment, advanced manufacturing, and materials development. The agreement is directly aligned with the U.S. Department of War’s 2026 National Defense Strategy and budget to transform the U.S. Defense industrial base and deliver with speed and efficiency for critical solutions including the production of missiles and munitions, as well as repairs. It establishes a framework for multiple research activities designed to advance and demonstrate the applicability of Titomic’s proprietary Titomic Kinetic Fusion™ (TKF)™ cold spray technology for military applications requiring enhanced survivability, improved readiness, and accelerated manufacturing capability.
The collaboration supports the delivery of capabilities that enhance operational readiness, reduce lifecycle costs, improve sustainment and future defense manufacturing requirements. Through this CRADA, Titomic and the Government organization will jointly investigate advanced Titomic Kinetic Fusion™ applications related to repair, restoration, advanced materials development, survivability enhancement, and expeditionary manufacturing.
“This CRADA underscore Titomic’s commitment to advancing defense readiness through continuous innovation in additive manufacturing technologies,” said Jim Simpson, CEO and Managing Director of Titomic Ltd. “Our collaboration is directly aligned with the DoW’s strategy to improve capability with enhanced innovation and aims to deliver transformational solutions for in-field repairs, lifecycle extension, and rapid-response manufacturing that directly benefit the warfighters’ capabilities.”
“The partnership will be anchored at Titomic’s advanced manufacturing and R&D facility in Huntsville, Alabama,” said Dr. Patti Dare, President of Titomic USA, Inc. Our US facility is located within one of the nation’s most significant defense, missile, and aerospace ecosystems and positioned near key government, prime contractor, and research partners.
This cooperative agreement supports Titomic’s U.S. based advanced manufacturing and sustainment activities aimed at accelerating the adoption of next-generation cold spray technologies with an emphasis on survivability and expeditionary manufacturing requirements.
