Titomic Receives Purchase Order from Iowa State University for ISB-11 System

HUNTSVILLE, AL – Titomic Limited (ASX: TTT), a global leader in cold spray additive manufacturing utilizing their Titomic Kinetic Fusion™ technology, is pleased to announce it has received a purchase order from Iowa State University for a Titomic 623 ISB-11 system, part of the company’s turnkey Integrated Spray Booth (ISB) solutions.

The Titomic 623 ISB-11 system is fully integrated cold spray platform designed to provide customers with a complete, ready-to-operate environment for advanced coating and repair applications. From a production perspective, the system delivers strong performance by combining medium-pressure cold spray capability with integrated material handling and dust extraction. This results in a safe, efficient, and highly adaptable solution suitable for both industrial and research environments.

Titomic’s ISB systems are engineered to be customized to specific customer requirements, enabling organizations to tailor the platform to their operational and research objectives. The system offers a versatile solution for a broad range of applications, including repairing metal surface defects and worn or damaged components such as engines, bearings, and gearboxes. Its user-friendly design makes it well suited for educational environments.

The installation at Iowa State University will support ongoing research and development initiatives. Titomic’s goal is to collaborate closely with Iowa State to foster innovation and advance research in cold spay technology.  The system will provide students and researchers with access to advanced capabilities for materials research, coating development, and innovative manufacturing applications.

“We observed dual advantage of acquiring the Titomic ISB system. It will support fundamental science-based efforts on exploring novel composite materials to enhance reliability in critical components as well as the integrated approach of the system will bolster applied research to validate developed formulations for large scale applications. We are looking forward to leveraging this capability on our ongoing and future efforts focused on space, defense, and energy applications at Iowa State and beyond”, said Dr. Sougata Roy, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering at Iowa State University.

“This order highlights the growing demand for flexible cold spray solutions within leading research institutions,” said Dr. Patti Dare, President, USA. “We are excited to support Iowa State University with a system that will enable cutting-edge research while also demonstrating the industrial potential of cold spray technology.”

Titomic continues to expand its global presence through the deployment of scalable cold spray solutions that support both industrial manufacturing and advanced materials research.
